Grădina botanică "Anastasie Fătu"

Romania's first botanical garden, founded in 1856, and one of the largest in the country. It sits on Copou hill and is considerably bigger than most visitors expect — allow at least two hours if you want to walk it properly. It is not a park you pass through but a scientific collection organised into sectors, with glasshouses. Worth visiting in any season, though spring and early summer are the peak. The exact location is on the map on this page; public transport gets you there from the centre in a few stops, and a CTP ticket costs 4 lei, valid 120 minutes.
