From the platform into town
Tram
Trams stop right by the station and run into the centre and on towards Copou, Podu Roș and Tătărași. A CTP ticket is 4 lei, valid 120 minutes.
Bus 50 to the airport
The same line that serves the airport starts here: Gara – Piața Unirii – Târgu Cucu – Aeroport, every 30 minutes.
On foot
Piața Unirii and the main hotels are a walkable distance from the station along Str. Arcu.

How long does the train from Bucharest take?
Around six and a half hours on the InterRegio services — long enough that many travellers prefer the flight to Iași airport, which takes about an hour.
Can I get to Chișinău by train?
Yes, there is an international rail link into the Republic of Moldova via Ungheni. Check the current schedule and border formalities before you go — this route changes more often than the domestic ones.
How do I get from the station to the airport?
Bus 50 links the two directly: Gara – Piața Unirii – Târgu Cucu – Aeroport, departing every 30 minutes and taking around 25 minutes.
