CTP Iași
Trams and buses
The CTP Iași network — 9 tram lines and over 40 bus lines. What a ticket costs, how to pay, and how the network is built.
How to pay
- Tap a contactless bank card or your phone straight on the onboard validator — the simplest option for visitors, no app and no account needed.
- Or use the 24pay app, or CTP's own IA'SI BILET app, to buy tickets and passes from your phone.
- Or buy a contactless CTP travel card and top it up at CTP points, E-Pin machines or online, then validate onboard.
- Validate every single journey. Travelling without a valid ticket costs a 99 lei fine.

Public transport FAQ
How do I pay on a tram or bus?
Simplest: tap a contactless bank card or your phone on the onboard validator. You can also use the 24pay or IA'SI BILET apps, or a contactless CTP travel card topped up at CTP points, E-Pin machines or online.
What lines does CTP Iași run?
Nine tram lines — 1, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11 and 13 — over roughly 140 km of track, plus more than 40 urban and metropolitan bus lines across some 449 km. Iași has no metro.
How much is a ticket and how long is it valid?
The urban ticket is 4 lei, valid for 120 minutes (fares in force since 1 February 2025). Travelling without a valid ticket costs a 99 lei fine. Children under 7 travel free.
Do you show real-time CTP arrivals?
Not on this site. CTP Iași runs its own live vehicle map on the operator's site and app, but exact per-stop arrival times are not publicly exposed through any channel we can use, so we don't display them. For arrivals, use the CTP app or Google Maps.
