Under 1 km — walk to the queue (10)

The only band that really matters on peak days: you can leave the queue, rest and come back. It sells out first, and long in advance.

1–3 km — one tram ride (22)

The reasonable compromise. A CTP ticket costs 4 lei and is valid 120 minutes, and during the feast the tram beats the car.

Over 3 km — if you are booking late (10)

The outer districts stay realistic once the centre is full. Check the transport link before you book, not after.

Distances are straight-line from the cathedral, so the walk is a little longer in practice — Iași is built on hills and the streets do not run straight. For the liturgical programme and any access changes, the Metropolis is the only source: Mitropolia Moldovei și Bucovinei →

Accommodation FAQ

How early should I book?

Central accommodation sells out months ahead for the feast week. If you are reading this in the last fortnight, assume the centre is gone and look at the 1–3 km band instead.

Is it worth staying further out?

Yes, during this week. Streets around the cathedral close and traffic is diverted, so a tram from 2 km out often reaches the queue faster than a car from 500 metres.

Do these prices change?

We do not store prices. The map shows live rates from the booking sites, which move by the hour during the feast.
